Telangana Govt ignoring people’s plight: CPM

Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Yerra Srikanth here on Thursday attributed accidents on the Prakashnagar road here for the past three years to potholes.

The CPI-M three town committee activists under the leadership of Thukashala Lingaiah staged road blockade agitation on Prakashnagar road demanding that the government take up repair of road immediately.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth alleged that after digging the road at Prakashnagar for laying pipelines, the Municipal Corporation officials had failed to carry out repairs. Despite the CPI-M workers bringing to the notice of the officials of the plight of the people, no action was taken, he said.

The TRS leaders claimed day in and day out that the government was spending crores of rupees for beautification of the city. The leaders were making false statements to deceive people, he said.

CPI-M party leaders Y Srinivas Rao, Sk Babu, B Veerababu, V Srinivas Rao, S Sunil Kumar, Sk Qasim, R Hanumanth Chary, V Babu, Veerabhadram, P Upendrachary, Sk Meera Saheb and Sk Qader Baba were present at the programme.
