'Insulted' by teacher, teen ends life in Hyderabad

A 16-year-old girl committed suicide in Hyderabad on Tuesday after being humiliated by her teacher.

The victim’s family claimed that she was insulted by her college teacher, who questioned her regarding her deceased friend's relationship.

The girl hanged herself at her residence and the body was shifted to a government hospital for postmortem.

A case has been registered under section 174 of the code of criminal procedure (CrPC).

Police have begun the investigation.
