Assuming to be a kidnap, woman sends police on a wild goose chase to rescue ‘victim’

In what was assumed to be a kidnap, the Saifabad police ended up getting involved in a vain attempt to rescue the ‘victim’.

A woman from Lakdikapul dialled 100 on Wednesday and informed the police regarding a girl getting kidnapped.

After noticing a girl crying inconsolably in a Toyota Innova while a man seated beside her and holding her tightly, the woman suspected that the girl was being taken away by force and alerted the police regarding the same.

Immediately swinging into action, the police rushed to spot by tracing the driver through the registration number.

They stopped the car after tracking it and came to know that the man driving the car, Raju was the girl’s colleague from a software company in Hi-Tech City.

It is learned that the girl was upset over a personal issue and Raju was comforting her. The woman who noticed this mistook it as a kidnap and sent the cops on a wild goose chase.
