Accordingly, several villages in Maharashtra claimed neglect by successive governments of their home state for the "last 70 years".
Stating that they are deprived of even basic amenities such as roads and water, a sarpanch of one of the villages in Dharmabad tehsil in Nanded, Baburao Kadam handed over a proposal of their demand for induction in Telangana to local TRS MLA Bajireddy Govardhan.
He further said that the facilities currently available in the neighbouring villages in Telangana are much better than in Maharashtra.
