Six vehicles collide on Shamshabad airport road; five injured

A road accident took place on the main road at Shamshabad airport late on Thursday night. One behind the other, six cars collided with each other. Five people suffered grave injuries in the accident. Due to the mishap, a huge traffic jam ensued on the road. The airport manager's GMR Recovery van was hit by a car behind the vehicle, following which the other vehicles collided with each other. 

The van’s driver is learned to be in a critical condition. The injured have been shifted to a private hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited.
