Corporator touches feet of motor vehicle inspector

Ibrahimpatnam corporator’s plea to prevent overloading of lorries and trucks has gone viral on the social media. Hayatnagar corporator Sama Tirumala Reddy had met the RTA officials several times with a request to prevent overloading of the lorries, which is causing heavy damage to the roads. He met Motor Vehicle inspector Saibaba and touched his feet with a request to stop the overloading. 

He said the overloading on ORR would damage the roads. The video of the corporator touching the feet of the MV inspector has gone viral. He said grit and dust-filled lorries were causing the problems He told the MVI that he would soon meet ministers KTR and Mahender Reddy on the issue.  The Ibrahimpatnam transport officer Govardhan Reddy said the officials have booked over 300 cases against lorries and added that there was no question of allowing overloading.
