Stent, catheters manufacturing unit to come up at Sangareddy
A stent and balloon catheters manufacturing unit to come up at Sultanpur of Sangareddy district which is going Asia's largest medical devices park.
The Medical devices manufacturing unit will be set up by the Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT) with a cost of Rs 250 crore.
Bhargav Kotadia, managing director of SMT has met the Industries minister KT Rama Rao at his office on Tuesday. The minister too gave his nod to set up the unit which will provide more than 2000 jobs.
He also shared the news on his Twitter handle.
Happy to announce that SMT will manufacture 1.2 Mn stents and 2 MN balloon catheters in this facility, with an investment of over Rs. 250 crores and will create more than 2000 direct jobs at the Medical devices park in Sultanpur, Sangareddy district https://t.co/Mx2ppBV4ud

The capacity of SMT manufacture is to manufacture around 1.2 million stents and two million catheters.
