Special Category Status must be given to AP without delay: Manmohan Singh

The promises given to AP, particularly the Special Category Status must be implemented without any delay, demanded Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister, while extending solidarity to the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Dharma Porata Deekhsa at AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday.

“I stood by AP whenever I got the chance in Parliament. This meeting is reaffirmation towards the common demand of achieving SCS, which should be given to AP”, he added.

He said that, this is a demand, which had unanimous support from all the parties in the Parliament when we discussed during bifurcation of AP. Therefore, this demand should be fulfilled without any delay. “I extend solidarity to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu”, he said.
