Etala promises to improve health sector

Hyderabad: Medical and Health Minister Etala Rajender said that the Telangana Government would take all measures to improve and upgrade the health sector across the State. 

Speaking to media persons after assuming charge at the State Secretariat on Thursday, Etala said that the State Government has already improved medical services during the last five years and they would be upgraded further. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has introduced several schemes to help the poor patients and provide medical facilities at free of cost. He said there has been a significant change in the conditions of government hospitals and other health utilities in the State.

Referring to the attack on doctors and medical staff in Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday, the Health Minister condemned the incident and assured strict action would be taken against those involved in the act. He said that the government was committed to resolve the problems being faced by the doctors and other staff. He also appealed the junior doctors to withdraw their strike immediately and assured that the government would consider their demands.
