Do you believe that Congress will be able to provide one lakh jobs in the first 100 days of its rule if voted to power?

Update: 2018-11-29 05:30 IST

A section of respondents to the question is skeptical about the promise made by the Congress party. But a few say that they firmly believe in the promise. The skeptics have questioned the Congress on how it was possible to provide 1 lakh jobs within such a short period. They have asked the Congress as to why the party, which was in power at the Centre and in the State for 10 years, was unable to create job opportunities for the youth.

I do believe that the Congress will be able to provide one lakh jobs in the first 100 days of its rule it voted to power.  The Congress party was out of power in the State for five years. I believe that the Congress party will fulfil its promise this time. - J V Kiran Kumar, Kothagudem

I do not believe that the Congress party will be able to provide one lakh jobs in the first 100 days of its rule if voted to power. It is only a political statement in the election time to attract  votes of the youth people.  How is it possible to provide one lakhs jobs in first 100 days? - V Arjun, Kothagudem

The track record of Congress in providing jobs is better than TRS.  As per my knowledge the Congress may keep its promise of providing one lakh jobs in the first year if it is voted to power. - Sharath, self-employed, Nalgonda

Unemployed youth of State, who were cheated by TRS,  are looking to the Congress for employment. If Congress fulfil its promise of providing one lakh jobs in first year of its rule, then the youth would become its vote bank. - Shravan, mobile phone shop owner, Nalgonda

I don’t think the Congress party and its alliance partners will be able to succeed in keeping thier promise of providing one lakh jobs to unemployed youth in the government sector soon after coming to power in 100 days. I feel these parties have become habituated to make tall promises without responsibility. They just make big promises to attract voters. I do not think that the youth will believe their promises and fall into their trap. - Vinod, Mahbubnagar

I feel that since Congress party is desperate to dethrone the KCR government it is making unrealistic promises to the youth to attract their votes. As the youth, who were having high expectations on the TRS party, will definitely be attracted to the Congress, as it is the only party that is promising to provide jobs, while on the other hand the TRS party is not even talking about jobs to the youth. I think if voted to power, if not in 100 days, the Congress party and its alliance partners may work to fulfil their promise. - Shirisha, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar district

No, I don’t believe that Congress will be able to provide one lakh jobs in the first 100 days of its rule if voted to power. The Congress party, which was in power at the Centre and in the State for 10 years, failed to create employment opportunities. Even a powerful leader like Y S Rajasekhara Reddy did not do it. In my view, it is a political move to mesmerise the youth and unemployed. If they are able to provide one lakh jobs within such a short period, why the Congress and the TRS are promising to provide allowance to the unemployed. - Achini Mahesh, businessman, Amberpet

No, I don’t believe that Congress will be able to provide one lakh jobs in the first 100 days of its rule if voted to power. It is not possible for a State government to provide one lakh jobs in 100 days. Where are the jobs? Earlier the TRS government which came to power after the formation of separate State was also unable to provide  jobs. They promised during the agitation that jobs would be provided to the youth when statehood was achieved for Telangana. I request the parties to first provide better facilities in government hospitals and improve  standards in government schools. - Miryala Srinivas, social activist, Narayanaguda

I believe that the Congress will be able to provide one lakh jobs if voted to power. But such a huge task cannot be achieved within the first 100 days of its rule if voted to power. It will take at least one year to fulfil the promise. KCR government had promised to provide employment opportunities but failed to do so. The Congress, if voted to power, should work with commitment and constitute a separate board headed by an IAS officers to create employment opportunities. - Manchikantla Laxman, self-employed, Karimnagar
