Don’t misrepresent Indian history

Update: 2019-01-29 05:30 IST

The young Republic of India, with an ancient culture, today, is undoubtedly witnessing a madness, unknown in the past, to distort history with an objective to take political mileage. (History matters a lot, The Hans India 28 Jan)

I regret to say that" no History Congress" event in the country, has ever condemned the poisonous efforts of certain political leaders with  divisive ideology who  are distorting history and indoctrinating the young generation with a malafide intention to take political advantage.

For example, one union minister has recently stated that Charminar was built by Jains and Tajmahal was  purchased by the then Mughal emperor from a Hindu king. These type of distortions, without any historical evidence or research  needs to be condemned and clarified by the History Congress events in the country.

Therefore, the primary endeavour and sacred duty of the History Congress should  be to annul the weird  history propagated by the vested  political interests, and strive to present the true History as it  truly matters a lot, for social harmony, unity and all round progress of the people of this great Nation.
