Army rescued 3 ‘Sadhus’ from hundreds of people attacking Them

 A horde suspected three ‘sadhus’ as child lifters and started attacking them. Police force and army personnel saved them from the horde, who were about to hang them, in Dima Hasao, a district of Assam.

After a rumour of child lifting hundreds of people gathered and attacked them when army men, who were at an adjacent camp, and the police officers came to rescue them.

A video of this entire thing is taken and uploaded in social media by on the horde and the possessions of the ‘sadhus’ were taken and thrown away.

Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Rajkhowa and Superintendent of Police Prasanta Saikia were gathered for an emergency meeting on Thursday.
Officials and the representatives of different communities in the meeting told the people of Dima Hasao not to take the law in their hands but to report to the officials if any suspicion has arised.

“ There have been several attempts made to make people aware  about news circulating on social media without any base or authenticity,” said the officials of the district administration.

On June 8, two friends were hanged, who had gone to a picnic spot in Karbi Anglong, by the villagers on the suspicion of being child-lifters.
