Update: 2018-05-25 18:19 IST

The jury has ordered Samsung to pay $533 million to Apple for copying the iPhone design in a patent case 7 years ago. The jurors also added an additional $5 million as damages for a pair of patented functions.

The decision on the money to be paid was between the $1 million requested by Apple, arguing that the features copied were integral to the iPhone that it can be considered as a article of manufacture and $28 million as suggested by Samsung stating that the features copied can be considered as components.
