CPM demands removal of barricades at Raparthinagar centre

Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Y Vikram here on Tuesday demanded that the government find a solution to the problem arising out of erection of barricades at Raparthinagar centre in Khammam.

CPI-M) Two Town Committee members submitted a memorandum to the Executive Engineer of the Roads and Buildings Department in this regard.
Responding to the appeal made by the CPI-M activists, Executive Engineer Shyam Prasad said city it was the responsibility of the city Traffic Police to find a solution to the problem.

Speaking on the occasion, Vikram alleged that due to the barricades erected at Raparthinagar centre the people belonging to Raparthinagar, TNGO’s colony and BC colony are forced to travel a long distance to take U-turn to reach their destinations.

He demanded that the Traffic Police in coordination with the Roads and Buildings Department should address the issue immediately. He urged the Assistant Commissioner of Police Sada Niranjan to take initiative in finding the solution to the problem.

CPI-M party Two Town Committee members Narra Ramesh, Bhukya Upendar, K Gurumurthy, Ch Bhadram, Manohar, Nagaraju and Srinu were among those who took part in the programme.
