Cartoonist & writer commits suicide by jumping off moving train

Chityal (Nalgonda): Cartoonist and writer Pendem Jagadish committed suicide by jumping off a moving train near Chityal on Tuesday. Locals, who found his body near Balaarsimha swamy temple, alerted the police Jagadishwar hailed from Munipampula under Ramannapet mandal in Yadadri- Bhongir district, He was working as a teacher at a government school in Chinna Kaparthi under Chityal mandal. 

He published 30 books for children during the last 25 years. He introduced Telangana dialect in Telugu literature. The book ‘Gajjela Dayyam’ received the best children’s literature award from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in 2015. Railway Sun-Inspector of Police Achutham said Jagadishwar after jumping off the moving train, came under Palnadu Express.
