Dasarathi Krishnamacharyulu birth anniversary celebrated

Khammam: The birth anniversary of the famous poet Dasarathi Krishnamacharyulu was observed on a grand note at the District Library here on Saunday.

District Libraries Department Chairman Md. Qamar, who was the chief guest at the celebrations, garlanded to the portrait of  Krishnamacharyulu. 
Dasarathi used words as weapons to fight against the Nizam’s rule and played an important role in the separate Telangana movement.

Speakers said Dasarathi had motivated the people to fight for achieving statehood for Telanganaby declaring that ‘Naa Telangana Koti Rathanala Veena’.

Staff members of the District Library J Bhaskar, R Naganna, Akhil and the representatives of the Digital Empowerment Foundation Yakub and Asif were present at the programme.
