Admin all set for polls: Collector MV Reddy

Neredmet: Medchal District Collector MV Reddy inspected Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) stored at Bhavan’s College here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said the district administration is fully geared up for the upcoming elections. He said they are making arrangements to provide water and other facilities at polling booths and ensuring that no inconvenience is caused to voters during polling. 

Physical challenged voters will be provided with wheelchairs, he said, and urged voters to check if their names are enrolled in voter list. If not, names can be enrolled online, he added. Reddy also asked voters to check their polling centre details at least a day before the polling day. Polling booths are being organized for every two or three kilometers, he said. 

Police too are geared up for the elections and have already made necessary security and patrolling arrangements, he added. All the arrangements are being made for nine constituencies and 2,110 polling centers, he further added. Medchal district RDO Madhusudhan Reddy, Malkajgiri MRO Ashswak Ahmed, ACP Shiv Kumar, Neredmet CI Narsimha Swami and others participated in the inspection.
