Ridge Towers Welfare Association elections new president

Quthbullapur: Y Nageshwara Rao was elected president of Ridge Towers Welfare Association, Chintal, at the first elections held on Sunday.  There are 140 flats in the new apartment. The residents had approached the police to ensure that there are no disturbances during the polling which began at 8 am. Of the 140 votes 102 were cast.  Rao secured 91 votes to defeat Ramesh, who got only 10.  He was declared elected. One vote was declared invalid as it was blank. The new office-bearers are: M V Appanna (general secretary), Ch Prasad (joint secretary), Ramani Sadasivam (treasurer), Vidyasagar, Sridhar, Sundarpal Meena (executive committee members). Rao thanked the residents of the apartment for electing him as president of the association.
