Hyderabad: A doctor who always thinks about and gives priority to the welfare of others has come to be known as ‘Atmiyamurthi.’ Dr Kotha Krishnaveni is all set to organise another welfare-oriented ‘Sahaya’ programme for the benefit of the visually impaired and physically challenged in the twin cities. She began distribution of sweaters and other forms of warm clothing to the unfortunate needy on roadsides to mark the International Disabled Day, which was on December 3, and continued her well-appreciated gesture for two more days. Her laudable effort came close on the heels of the day to celebrate soci0-economic development across the world.

Dr Krishnaveni is going round various city areas inhabited by the poor to keep them warm during chilly nights. She told The Hans India that: “You and I can adjust our blankets to protect ourselves from cold weather, but the visually challenged and disabled can’t do it. Hence, I have decided to go to their rescue by visiting their dwellings during nights and provide them sweaters so that they stay warm.”
