Police ban crackers, victory rallies in nalgonda district

Nalgonda: Police have imposed ban on victory rallies, processions and bursting of crackers on the vote counting day ( December 11) across the district. District SP R Venkateshwarlu instructed all the candidates to follow the rules otherwise action will be taken against them as per the law.

On Monday, along with other officials he has examined the arrangements for  counting of votes of  Suryapet, Tungaturthi, Kodad and Huzurnagar  Assembly constituencies  slated to be held on Decemer 11 ( Tuesday)at the Agriculture Market Committee godowns in Suryapet town.

Speaking to media, SP informed that as many as 45O police personnel including 3 DSPs, 12 CIs, 45 ASI/HC, 220 police constables, 40 home guards, 15 police women  and 5 sections of armed forces are deputed in and around the polling station to avoid any untoward incidents during the counting of votes.

He informed that Section 144 is imposed at a radius of 200 meters at counting centre. He advised the workers of various parties , followers and supporters of contesting candidates and leaders to better watch the results  on the TV channels at home comfortably instead of  coming to the counting center.

DSP Nageshwar Rao, CIs Praveen Kumar Reddy, Shiva Shankar and other police officials were present on the occasion. Also Nalgonda district SP AV Ranganath also made similar announcement to workers, followers, supporters of various parties and public and informed that 144 section is in force in the radius of 200 meters of votes counting centre (State warehouse corporation go downs) located at Duppallapally with regard to counting of votes  of six constituencies of the district namely Nalgonda, Nakrekal, Munugodu , Miryalguda, Devarakonda  and Nagarjuana Sagar
Whereas counting of votes of Aler and Bhongir constituencies of Yadadri- Bhongir district is going to be done at Arrora College under tight police security and surveillance cameras.
