Safilguda Tank Bund choking on debris

Malkajgiri: Local residents of Safilguda, members of Mini Tank Bund walkers association, laughing club association and yoga club led by Swatchh Bharath convener of Malkajgiri circle B Nagaraj staged a protest before GHMC Malkajgiri office and lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of GHMC on Wednesday to clean up the Mini Tank Bund.  

The debris which was left after Ganesh Chaturthi and Bathukamma festival celebrations has not been cleared yet despite several complaints to GHMC. Local residents have been facing severe inconvenience due to stench coming from the tank, and express fears that it may lead to health issues and viral fevers.  Among those who were present on the occasion include Chandu, Dhanraj, Srinivas, Teja, Rajyalakshmi, Srinivas Raju, Khadir, Narsimha, residents of Balram nagar and others.
