2 degree students held for chain-snatching at Vikarabad

Vikarabad: Local DSP Sirisha on Thursday produced before the media two Degree college students, Mohd Kalimuddin and Vijaykumar for their involvement in a case of chain- snatching reported three days back. 

The DSP stated that the duo, riding a bike, had snatched the chain (‘pustelathadu’) of Golla Chandrakala near Kakatiya School on January 7. She and her relatives had immediately lodged a complaint. The police could identify the youths after seeing CCTV footage from the cameras installed across the town. Shirisha stated that the youngsters had formed a gang and resorted to chain-snatching to maintain luxurious lifestyle filled with vices. She said a case was registered against them and the duo was sent to remand.
