The college has also been purportedly charging students for the release of their original certificates. Vijay, a forum member, said, “We have submitted a copy to the Inspector of Police in Abids.

For the past few years, the college management has been charging Rs 1,000 per student per year. Every day, about 1,500 vehicles are being parked in the college premises.”

The students also alleged that they previously used to pay Rs 5 every day, and now some students are forced to pay Rs 1,000 yearly and vehicle passes are being issued for the paid student.

College timings are just like that of schools. “We need to come to college by 8.25 am. Students can’t even park their vehicles in college ground for free, in spite of paying lakhs of rupees toward college fee.

Vijay Gopal, president of Forum Against Corruption, in his letter to the college management said, “The act of collecting parking charges from students is illegal, including the cloakroom facility, which the college has to provide to the students.

We ask to stop the activity immediately. If not the forum is going to take legal action against the college management under section 420 of IPC for cheating students.”
