Awareness drive on soil testing

Zaheerabad: An awareness camp on soil testing was organised for farmers at Tekur, Malgi villages in Nyalkal mandal on Sunday. Soil testing expert of DDS, KVK E Swamy, sensitised the farmers about the use of soil testing.

 He explained them that the types of fertilisers can be decided based on the quality of the soil. He suggested that 8 or more samples should be collected from their fields and get them tested. He advised them to follow the instruction of agriculture officials and get good harvest. Women farmers in a big number were also present.
