Feed the Need drive getting great response

Hyderabad: The ‘Feed the Need’ programme, which was recently launched with the objective of providing food to the needy, has been receiving huge response from hotels, voluntary organisations and individuals. On Tuesday, various organizations came forward to provide 40,000 food packets. This was in response to an appeal made by GHMC commissioner Dana Kishore and EPTRI director general Kalyan Chakravarthy to hotel owners and voluntary organizations to come forward and contribute to the programme in a meeting held on Monday.

GHMC is planning to provide food to the needy on February 14. According to various surveys, about 20 per cent of total people are not getting proper food. Responding to the call given by GHMC, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Hyderabad, hotels association, Pista House and DV Manohar Hotel have come forward to provide food packets. GHMC has planned to distribute the food packets to people at railway stations, bus stands, auto stands, night shelters, slums, major hospitals and other crowded places.
 
GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore called upon officials, voluntary organisations and people to make the programme a great success. Voluntary organizations and people who are interested in providing food packets can contact Rajinikanth (9542188884), Vishal (966863435) and Pavan (9849999018).
