Jio warns people against cheats

Hyderabad: The authorities of Jio warned people to beware and verify the credentials of the person who asks for mobile tower installation.  Jio never demands fee in any form for tower installation, they said. They pleaded people not to pay any money if asked.

The media delivers the message which is the result of reports about some miscreants who cheat gullible people in the name of  installation of mobile towers like titled, “Win One Lakh Offers” Cyber frauds of various types are coming to light of late and unscrupulous elements are finding innovative ways to rob the people of their hard earned money.  

Some messages on the mobile are so worded to create an impression that it came from BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) which seems like a genuine one.  One message says: Dear BSNL User: Today Special offer for You.  Just dial 56300 and Win Rs. one lakh.  Another one says: Dear BSNL User; Today Sankranti special For You.  

Just dial *543*9# (Tollfree) and Win Bike and Many more and another SMS says: My promise will always be with You.  Pl call me on 5505051211. Beware of fraudsters in the name of friendship.
