Met forecasts onset of early summer

 Medak: Summer seems to be peaking early in some Telangana districts, with Medak and Mahbubnagar recording Wednesday’s highest day temperature of 37 Degrees Celsius each. Incidentally Medak also experienced the lowest night temperature of 19 Degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The Met department bulletin listed the other maximum temperatures as: Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Nizamabad 36 deg C each, Hyderabad 35, Khammam and Ramagundam 34 each, Hakimpet and Hanamkonda 33 each, Nalgonda 32. According to the bulletin, dry weather prevailed across Telangana on Wednesday. The forecast said dry weather is very likely to prevail in the State from February 21 to 23. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are forecast on February 24. No major change in the period February 25-27  is the weather outlook. There is also less chill in the air these days, with nights becoming sultry, as the winter season heads for a close on March 4, Mahashivaratri, when, people believe, the summer will commence.
