A doctor’s gesture

Warangal: Devulapalli Praveen Kumar, a doctor by profession and also the Registrar of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), is one of those rare personalities, who have penchant to serve the poor and needy.

Dr Praveen adopted the Upper Primary School in his native village, Vanga Pahad and has been donating study material to the students in memory of his father Gopalkishan Rao.

In addition to this, he started a free coaching camp for the students appearing for Class V admission test in Gurukul schools. Speaking at the school on Wednesday, he told the students to make use of the best education imparted in the Gurukul schools, a progressive initiative of the Telangana government. 

“Last year, 16 students from the village got admission in the Gurukul schools and we expect more students repeat the success this year,” Dr Praveen said. On the occasion, he distributed study material to 40 students preparing for the admission to Gurukul schools. Youth club members Ramesh, Praveen, Rajesh and teachers participated in the programme.
