Parents Sports Meet at DPS

​Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills organised Parents Sports Meet for parents of students from class I to VII recently. The sporting event witnessed a high turnout of parents eager to participate in the games that were conducted. The school choir sang the prayer song to invoke the blessings of the almighty. 

Sunitha Rao, the school Principal and Kiran Khanna, the Head Mistress welcomed the parents to the school and stressed on the importance of sports in building character and leadership behavior in students. The event started with a warm-up exercise for the parents. Yohan, Sports HOD, briefed the parents about the various competitions and their venues.

The sports meet was declared open by the dignitaries and the balloons were released. The entire Sports Staff efficiently handled the whole event, right from giving out instructions, coaching the parents and judging the matches. 

The parents enthusiastically participated in all the games and appreciated the school for conducting such events where the parents are involved and get an opportunity to relive their own school days. They were also of the view that the meet was an amazing platform to showcase their talents and to strengthen Parent-Teacher-Student bond.
Kudos to the management, staff, parents and children for making this Sports Meet a grand success.
