11 kg ganja seized from biker in hyderbad

Hyderabad: The Langer Houz police on Friday arrested a driver and seized 11kg of ganja from his possession.

According to police, the arrested person Chandan Naveen (30), a resident of Jumerath Bazar in Dhoolpet was caught during the vehicle checking at Moghal Ka Nala ring road.

He was proceeding on a bike in a suspicious manner with a bag. When the police checked him they found 11 kg ganja in his possession.

During the interrogation the accused confessed that he had purchased ganja in Odisha about a week ago from a person for Rs 35,000 and came to Hyderabad for disposal with an intention to earn easy money.

Earlier the accused was arrested by the Mangalhat police in similar cases.

By registering a case under section 20 (b) (ii) (b) of NDPS Act, the accused was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
