5 killed in two separate road mishaps on same spot in Siddipet

Five people were killed and several hurt in two separate road accidents that occurred at the same spot on Rajiv Rahadari in Siddipet on Friday.

In the first case, three people died when the car they were travelling in rammed into the median at a dhaba. When the police are clearing the road for traffic, a DCM truck hit the police personnel and others leaving two people dead on the spot.

Siddipet town-II CI Parasuram Goud, Inspector Ashok and two other policemen suffered serious injuries in the mishap. Around 12 people are said to have suffered injuries in both the accidents. An investigation is underway.
