Armoor: Turmeric farmers self-respect tour from December 16

Armoor: Turmeric farmers' JAC leaders Avinash Reddy and Yadaiah Goud announced that the self-respect walking tour by turmeric farmers will start from December 16, at a meeting at R&B guest house here on Wednesday.

The JAC members took a resolution demanding setting up of Turmeric Board and minimum support price (MSP) should be fixed at Rs 15,000 per quintal for turmeric. The leaders said that they will take up signature collection from the farmers in all villages in support of their demand for turmeric board.

JAC members Venkatesh and Devaram and farmers were present at the meeting.
