AWS are working properly: TSDPS

Karimnagar: Telangana State Development Planning Society officials examined the performance of automatic weather stations in Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

TSDPS officer Bhagyanagar Venumadhav said 924 automatic weather stations (AWS) are working in the State.

It will be useful to estimate crop damage due to deficit and heavy rain fall, drought and floods. It also warns about thunderstorms thus avoiding dangers to human beings and livestock. Before the rain season commences, AWS is evaluating the working performance, he said.

Venumadhav appreciated the performance of all stations in Karimnagar district. Calibration process was held at Chintakunta, Chigurumamidi, Asifnagar, Indurthi, Renukunta, Kashipet and 35AWS by TSDPS official in Karimnagar district.
