Ban on bursting crackers on roads, public places

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar prohibited bursting of firecrackers on public roads and at public places during Diwali festival celebrations.

In a notification, the CP stated that in accordance with the recent directions issued by the Supreme Court, there shall be complete ban on bursting sound emitting firecrackers on the public roads and public places in their Police Commissionerate limits except between 8 pm and 10 pm.

He further added that the noise level from crackers, drums and other instructions, if any between 8 pm to 10 pm should not exceed the permissible limits as notified by the Pollution Control Board (PCB).
