Bronze medal for TS badminton duo

Basheerbagh: Telangana players Muppala Venu and Jnana Prasad bagged the bronze medal in the National Masters Games Badminton Tourney at Baroda. After winning the quarter-finals over Gujarat players 21/17, 21/14, they lost in a hard fought semis to Assam 22/20, 19/21,20/22 to win the bronze.

Telangana Master Games general secretary Prabhakar Rao and All-India Master Games convener Sanjay have congratulated Venu and Prasad. Venu told The Hans India that he was feeling elated for winning over the Gujarat team. We lost to Assam after putting up a fight till the end. I am confidence of bagging the gold medal next year to keeping the Telangana flag flying.'
