Car runs over girl in Munagala

Munagala (Suryapet): A school-going girl was killed in a road accident that took place on NH-65 in the district on Wednesday.

According to eye witnesses, Vinitha, 12, a resident of Madavaram village in Munagala mandal was studying in Class 7 at an upper primary school.

On Wednesday, when she was crossing NH-65 to attend the natures call, speeding car heading towards Vijayawada from Hyderabad hit her.

The girl received grievous injuries and was shifted to a hospital to Suryapet in the same car. Later, she was shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment but was she died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Meanwhile, school headmaster Ravinder announced holiday on Thursday on sudden demise of school student Vinitha on day one of school.

Local police filed a case and took up investigation.
