Central team inspects NREGS works

Siddipet: A team of officials from the Central government arrived here on Thursday as the district got nominated for the national award for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) for the year 2018-19.

They inspected the NREGS works along with District Collector P Venkatrama Reddy in Bakri Chepyala, Mittapalli, Rajagopalpeta, Venkatapur, Timmayipalli, Irkode, Thornala and Ibrahimpur areas.

The delegation was all praise for the Haritha Haram works in the district and appreciated the greenery all around. They also appreciated water trenches, sanitation and other programmes in the district. The Collector explained the NREGS performance in the district. District officials, people's representatives and others were present.
