Centre could not complete Polavaram but we completed Kaleshwaram says TRS Leaders

Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Thursday said that while the Centre could not complete Polavaram project in five years, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao completed Kaleshwaram project in three years.

Addressing a press conference here at TRSLP office Minister V Srinivas Goud and MLA A Venkateshwar Reddy alleged that the BJP leaders were unable to digest the fact that a biggest project in the world has been completed without the help of Central government. Through Centre gave funds to Polavaram project, the works are not moving forward whereas the Kaleshwaram project, taken up on state government funds was completed by CM KCR in a quick time, said Srinivas Goud. He further alleged that the BJP leaders are taking credit for central funds, which should come to the state automatically.

The TRS leader said that BJP Telangana president is talking more after winning four Lok Sabha seats. He asked the BJP leaders to talk on the Assembly and local body elections.

Srinivas Goud alleged that the BJP was adoption double standards on defections of MLAs. While the BJP leaders are questioning joining of MLAs in TRS, they are silent and supporting TMC MLAs joining BJP, said Goud adding the Saffron party was trying to include one Congress MLA into their party.

He ridiculed the allegations of BJP leaders on KCR skipping NITI Ayog meeting stating that the state could not get anything even after attending the meeting for four occasions. He asked the BJP leaders to ask for national project status for Kaleshwaram.
