Couple plants saplings, distributes waste bins on wedding anniversary

Nalgonda: Setting examples for others, a couple who was celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on Monday planted saplings along a road in their village and took an oath to protect them.

Marta Jagadish and Jayasree of Rajapet mandal as part of their 25th wedding anniversary celebrations on Monday planted the saplings besides distributing dust bins to hotels, grocery shops, tea stalls and medical shops. They urged the people to extend their support to maintain cleanliness and greenery in Rajapet mandal headquarters.

Rajapet Sarpanch Adepu Eshwramma called upon people to celebrate their birthdays and wedding anniversaries akin to Jagadish and Jayasree couple and protect the environment besides maintaining hygienic conditions in Rajapet.

Gram panchayat secretary Ganesh, ward members Martha Venkatesham, Somasari Surender, CH Gopal Goud, N Baskar Goud, K Venkatesh Goud, N Raju, P Santosh and others were present.
