Covid continues to spread fangs in Telangana as cases cross 20,000

Hyderabad: With 1892, Telangana on Friday recorded the highest single-day rise in Covid-19 cases, where GHMC area alone recorded 1,658 cases, with total number of positive cases crossing 20,000.

The number of tests conducted were 5,965, while 1,126 were discharged and 8 succumbed to the virus in 24-hours, taking the total death toll to 283. Among the fresh cases, GHMC reported 1,658 (crossing four figure mark), Rangareddy -56, Medchal - 44, Sangareddy-20, Warangal (Rural)-41, Mahbubnagar-12, Nalgonda-13, witnessed cases in double digits.
