Drunk man booked for hitting dog in Hyderabad

A man in an intoxicated state rammed his car into a puppy and also beaten up a person for questioning on his rash and negligent driving.

Sai Teja Peddineni, a volunteer while he was riding a bike, noticed the white colour swift Maruti car bearing registration number AP29BY0066 hitting a puppy sleeping on the roadside. Sai Teja approached the Saroor Nagar police and lodged a complaint against the car driver and a passenger.

Teja said that when he asked the driver to accompany him to a hospital for treating the puppy, the driver and the passenger told him that they don't care about the animal. The duo also threatened to kill Teja and fled the spot.

A case under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act has been registered against the two and the police are looking out for the duo.
