EVM technical glitch delays poll process

Parigi: Polling has kicked off late after EVMs got stuck due to technical problems for quite some time in the constituency. Polling process came to a grinding halt after EVMs went dysfunctional in Veerapur of Kulkacherla mandal.

There are 2,43,347 voters in the constituency, 305 polling centers, 1,200 polling staff and 600 police force were beefed up at the centers. Heavy police force was beefed up to prevent untoward incidents.

Local MLA Koppula Mahesh Reddy along with his family members casted his vote at Zilla Parishad high school. Former MLA T Rammohan Reddy exercised his franchise at his native village.
