Fire breaks out at Ganesh pandal in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a Ganesh pandal in an apartment building at Vishnupuri area in Malkajgiri during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. According to police, fire broke out when a diya that was placed in front of idol had sparked the carpet, which later spread to the whole pandal.

Parked vehicles in the premises were also gutted in the fire. So far, 10 two-wheelers and four four-wheelers were gutted. On receipt of the information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
