Focus on sanitation, greenery: Khammam Collector to officials

Khammam: Everyone should strive for the development of villages, stated District Collector RV Karnan. The Collector on Friday reviewed the progress of 30-day action plan with all Mandal Parishad Development Officers and Special Officers. Addressing the officials, Karnan suggested that every village should have a dumping yard and funeral grounds. "If there are no lands for providing the said facilities, required land must be purchased and dumping yards and graveyards must be constructed immediately with gram panchayat funds," he suggested.

The Collector also reviewed the mandal-wise progress of Haritha Haram and added that every officer must concentrate on sanitation, electricity, clean and green and drinking water facilities in the respective villages assigned to them. Special officer ZK Hanumanthu, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Priyanka, Special Officers and MPDOs attended the meeting.
