GHMC election result 2020: Uttam Kumar Reddy resigns as TPCC chief

GHMC election result 2020: Owing to the failure of Congress party in the GHMC election, Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday resigned as Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president.

Uttam Kumar asked the Congress high command to elect a new president for TPCC. Reddy has been serving as party's Telangana chief since 2014.

In the municipal elections, the Congress party won two seats -- Uppal (Rajitha) and AS Rao Nagar (Sirisha Reddy). The party also saw a drastic failure in the recent Dubbak by-election.
