Gutka worth Rs 6 lakh seized in Adilabad

The Adilabad police have seized gutka worth Rs 6 lakh in the district here on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the shop at Dwarakanagar and recovered the gutka stored in 130 bags. The worth of gutka is estimated to be of Rs 6 lakh. A case has been registered by the police.

On June 25, 2019, the Nanded police seized two heavy vehicles carrying gutka worth Rs 1 crore. The first vehicle, carrying Rs 17 lakh worth gutka was seized on Necklace road. While the second vehicle carried gutka worth Rs 91 lakh.
