Hawkers approach cops against civic body staff

Vikarabad: The over enthusiasm of municipal officials has received criticism from all quarters in the district. In a drive to discourage plastic use, the officials raided fruit vendors.

Following heated arguments, the officials pushed away their goods and the fruits scattered on the road. The vendors grew angry and approached police and lodged a complaint against the municipal officials alleging that they attacked them. The incident happened on Saturday.
