Hyderabad: CITU gets 16 contract workers regularised

Patancheru: CITU district president K Rajayya on Sunday pledged to relentlessly struggle for the rights of workers. Speaking after 16 contract workers of Parle Agro Gold Ltd were handed over letters of regularisation by general manager Vijay Singh, following many years of struggle by CITU, he stated that pressure was exerted for many years on the management to make the workers permanent.

Rajayya, who heads the workers' union in the Parle industry, said CITU was the only trade union organisation to regularly agitate for workers welfare. Vijay Singh said the workers were made permanent keeping in view their efforts to develop the industry. Among those present were HR officer Karim, union leaders Jahangir Goud, Santosh Goud, Ramulu, Kiran, Surender, Srikanth.
