Hyderabad: Collector Pausumi Basu sensitises students on hygiene in Vikarabad

Vikarabad: District Collector Pausumi Basu has directed the officials of health department to administer albendazole tablets to children in the age group of 1-19 years.

She took part in National Deworming Day programme held at Sangam Lakshmibai Girls School in Vikarabad on Monday. Explaining the importance of cleanliness, she directed the students to cut their nails regularly and wash their hands before eating.

She asked them to inculcate discipline. MLA Metuku Anand was present as the chief guest. He said worms in the stomach lead to anemia. MPP Chandrakala, DMHO Dasaradh, Dy DMHO Jeeva Raj, Dr Lalitha, Dr Vinod Reddy, SO Rajeshwar and others were present.
