Hyderabad: Urdu Academy website launched

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, the Telangana State Urdu Academy has launched its website urduacademyts.com, as part of State government's efforts for Urdu's upliftment.

Launching it, Dr Mohammad Raheemuddin Ansari, the president of Telangana State Urdu Academy, stressed the importance of website. "In these newly emerging circumstances website becomes an excellent channel through which any information, program or scheme can be conveyed to a common man easily. Similarly application forms, magazines, brochures, advertisements etc. can be provided to the aspirants for downloading," he said.

The Academy will shortly revive and upload a monthly magazine for children by name 'Roshan Sitare' on its website.

Earlier on Monday, Raheemuddin recalled the services of Urdu satirist, writer and padmasri awardee Mujtaba Hussain who died a few days back. He said as a mark of respect Urdu Academy would be publishing a special edition of Qaumi Zabaan, which would through light on the life of the luminary.
